About Gryphon's Wing
In all things, Equilibrium.
Origin
Gryphon's Wing was founded by Kadein Marris in an attempt to create a learning environment where mages can strive to find balance within themselves and their magic. After finding the remains of an ancient nesting group for Gryphons, Kadein used all of the money he had saved up as a mage to create the guild and the manor in which the guild resides. The gryphons that nest on the grounds were the inspiration for the name.

Roleplay Rules (OOC)
1. God Modding: "God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RPers try.
-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
The absolute worst is when they make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior. They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths. This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.
This is a prime example of God Modding:
Player A: Punches Player B
Player B: Dodges attack, grabs Player A and throws him. Player A flies at Player B, who warps behind him and slashes Player A in the back.
Both people in this example are god-modding. When going to do an action against another person you should always make it clear that any action is an attempt. Thus giving the other person the ability to react as such.
2. Metagaming: When game information outside of what is available in a game is used to give a player an advantage in-game. Most commonly seen and frowned upon in many forms of role playing especially when consent has not been given. It is also using information that was given OOCly even though that character in role-play was not given the information ICly.
3. Lore Bashing: Lore bashing is the act of playing a character in a specific game that does not exist in that game’s universe. It is also the act of giving your character powers, abilities, and backgrounds that are not possible within the parameters of that world’s lore.
4. Keep IC and OOC Separate: IC ( In character ) and OOC ( Out of Character ) are two separate things and should remain that way. Just because a character ICly picks fights with your character frequently does not mean that they have any personal beef against you. You should not take offence in IC actions and bring it into OOC conflict. The same goes for vice-versa. If there is something OOC going on between you and another person or group of people you should not let that influence the actions of your character ICly.
5. Good Grammar and Punctuation: Most roleplayers try to practice good grammar and punctuation. It makes the roleplayer easier to understand so that people can react to you and can cause less confusion.

- Example a.
- A dungeons and dragons adventure team comes across an unknown monster in-game. The metagamer knows this monster through out-of-game information. Using this information, the metagamer's character acts upon the monster's weaknesses and attributes despite the character having never seen the monster before.
- Example b.
- In an online pan-fandom RPG, Ryoga from Ranma 1/2 meets Ken from Street Fighter for the first time and they have a fight to the death. Ken finds some water in a random nearby bucket and dumps it on Ryoga, then proceeds to pummel the life out of Ryoga who is now transformed into a tiny black pig because of his water curse.
- In this case, Ken's role player is metagaming.
